RRC Semillas Student Organization Affiliate Program

The RRC Semillas Program aims to foster enduring partnerships with student organizations aligned with our mission and vision. We strive to engage with affiliates to offer resources pertinent to their academic, community, and leadership endeavors.

 Benefits of Being an Affiliate 

  • Priority reservations for GBMs and study jams at the RRC
  • Mentorship and guidance from the RRC Student Life Operations Specialist
  • Provision of logistical, administrative, and operational guidance to Latinx student organizations and their leaders
  • Access to RRC resources such as equipment and supplies
  • Advocacy for the needs of Latinx student organizations on campus
  • Opportunities for outreach and engagement with the larger UCSD Latinx community
  • Access to an extensive network and connections for various opportunities

How to Become Affiliated

To affiliate with the RRC, you must complete an affiliate application typically distributed towards the end of the academic school year and attend one info session. If accepted, your organization's affiliation will commence in the following academic year, with participation requiring reapplication annually.

Additionally, one executive board member must complete a Google form on our website during the summer, agreeing to uphold and embody the values, mission, and vision of Centro, particularly where they intersect with your organization's values.

Furthermore, if accepted, the organization must ensure that 25% of their active membership volunteers 25 hours collectively per quarter at specified events (UC Insight, Drag Lotería, Queerquinceañera, Xi/Lat Graduation, RRC Research Symposium, Posada), and hold quarterly or monthly meetings with the RRC Student Life Operations Specialist or Student Org Liaison. Informational Session

 In order to be consider for the affiliates program, at least one student org e-board member needs to attend an info session. 

In-person sessions will be held at the Raza Resource Centro Conference Room, located in Pepper Canyon Hall, Level 2, Room 264
