Black/Latinx Family Orientation Weekend

Separate from the college orientation, this family orientation weekend delivers tailored programming for Black and Latinx families. Participants will be able to engage with other incoming families, learn about campus resources and get familiar with the campus.

The orientation provides early move-in to those students with housing contracts and preliminary access to various campus departments and staff. This event is open to incoming Fall 2021 students, including transfer and commuter students.

Dates for 2022 TBD

LGBTQIA Welcome Orientation

Each year the UC San Diego Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center hosts a Welcome Orientation event for first-year and transfer students that are part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual + (LGBTQIA+) community. Our orientation includes information on on-campus resources and opportunities for community building along with a Q+A portion.

For more information regarding this program, please visit LGBTQIA Welcome Orientation.

Noche de Consultas Familiares

The Raza Resource Centro organizes Noche de Consultas Familiares where parents are able to meet staff and get their questions answered. During the consulta, parents have the opportunity to ask questions regarding anything related to UC San Diego. We have university staff available to respond to questions and advise parents with the information needed to support their student.
